Anecdote about our name: Originally we did business in the U.S. and Mexico under Underworld Scuba, which is our legal, registered name. We are still known to our many suppliers and our U.S. bank by that name. However, we found that the word "world" was very difficult for Mexicans to pronounce, and many people were mistakenly calling us "Underwater Scuba." The word "Underworld" does not translate well into Spanish either. We decided to make a change so our employees could pronounce our name as well as the name would make sense in Spanish. "Scuba Shack" can be easily translated and pronounced correctly, and the translation is "La Cabaņa del Buceo." It's shorter, easier to pronounce, and with our thatched roof palapa, it says it all.
