 Is
that too much activity for you? Relax in the refreshing infinity pool (the view goes on to infinity),
stock up your pool bar with Margarita mix, sit back and relax, sip your frosty
drink, and watch the sun set.
Whether
this is a once-in-a-lifetime visit, or the beginning of a yearly tradition, these
cheerfully decorated "casitas" provide a new and different type of vacation.
Melissa and Jana are getting ready to go out for
the evening--dinner at L'Receif, only 5 minutes from your front door, and then later, off
to the Colima Bay Cafe to party. The master bedroom has a beautiful terrace, so while the
ladies are getting ready, they can enjoy the view. Melissa believes in taking a nap, so
she'll be fresh for the evening!
Melissa
is enjoying the privacy of the hand painted tiled master bath. Note the painting on tile
on the wall. It looks just like Melissa, doesn't it? Perhaps the artist had her in mind.
Jana
is blow drying her hair after a dip in the pool, and the double vanity sink has plenty of
room for all of a lady's things, and great mirrors too, so she can see herself at all
angles.
The
kids are quiet and reading in their room, also with a view of the Pacific. Note the hand
painted "fish" headboards, and the matching stenciling around the room. Bright
Mexican colors and materials accentuate every room.
Not
every day has to be active. Playing dominoes in the dining room, or sipping wine from the
bamboo-railed terrace is a wonderful way to while away the time, which will end all too
soon.
Dad fixes some
fresh fruit for a snack in the fully equipped, custom designed kitchen, while the kids
wait patiently at the breakfast bar.
Meals are a delight, in the traditional dining
room, decorated with bright colors, and equipped with hand-painted plates, and hand-blown
glasses. The designer who decorated both units loves Mexican art, and there's an abundance
of it throughout the villas.
You
can also enjoy lunch or drinks poolside, lounging around on Colima-made
"equipales," (hand stretched and stitched leather and wood chairs). There's
plenty of space for everyone, so if you want privacy, you've got it, but, today, all the
kids want to be together as a family. There's lots of room for that, too!
Melissa
and Jana are playing the bathing beauties, stretched out on a hand-dyed Mexican rug in the
center of the living room. The younger kids are happily reading their favorite story,
enjoying the sea breezes coming off the ocean.
You went to the beach yesterday, and invited other tourists to
visit you at your "humble abode." Won't they be impressed when they see your
fabulous living room, complete with stereo and satellite TV! Of course you'll probably
spend most of your time gazing out at the sea, but what better way to meet and get to know
new friends? Or, since there are 3 bedrooms. each with private bath, get a group
of friends together and share the cost of a villa!
It's
easy to contemplate the meaning of life when you're relaxing on the second floor balcony,
beer in hand, overlooking the magnificent Pacific Ocean, and the lush and largely
uninhabited Peninsula de Juluapan. It's the little things that count--like peace and
tranquility--and an all-too-short period of time--at your own private get-a-way.
It's our
pleasure to pick you up and take you back to Manzanillo's airport.
A rental car can
be obtained at an additional cost of $30-40/day (depending on make, model, and time of
year).
Other tours are available during your stay,
including: Snorkeling, scuba, horseback riding, kayaking, volcano, waterfalls, Colima,
museums, or custom designed excursions to make your vacation special.
